From May 8th through May 14th is Food Allergy Awareness Week. So spread the word about food allergies any way you can. I'm thinking of a way that me and princess can spread the word.
My experiences with my daughters food allergies. Foods and recipes I have found and things to look out for when purchasing foods.

Peanut Allergy book suggestion
I have researched a lot of material on food allergies since finding out my princess was allergic to certain things. I like Beyond a Peanut: Is This Safe?
The flash cards are great. Even though princess likes to play matching games and pretend go fish with them i still use them to teach her about her allergies. I use them with my sisters so they can learn easily about what to look out for how to read labels and even polite ways to say no when offered foods. The book is only 36 pages and I highly recommend it. Give cards to teachers, babysitters and family members.

My Weekender 3
As you all know my weekends are my family time so I'm going to keep it short and sweet like always. I just want to put up a link to let parents know the difference between Food Allergies and Food Intolerance. I hope you find this information useful. It sure did for me when i was first figuring out about Emily's allergies.

My Weekend Find
Looking on the FAAN Site (The food allergy & anaphylaxis network) I came across a informative and cute scenario for kids with food allergies. I think its a great way to make your child a PAL (Protect A Life). This would be great for Teachers and Day Care programs to enforce and will should be fun to do role playing while learning about food allergies and how to be a PAL. Emily is at a stage where she is using her IMAAAAAAAGINATION in the words of Spongebob. So I think its time for some food allergy role play time :)
